How and why did you get involved in the travel and tourism industry?
Travel has always been a personal passion and I wanted to find a way to combine that passion with my skills in PR and marketing. When I saw the opportunity with Julie, it was exactly what I’d been searching for and offered the chance to draw on my personal background, my passion for travel and my professional skills.
What part of your role gives you the most satisfaction?
I love meticulously planning every little detail of a travel experience, which is something I have been doing for myself and my family for years anyway! I imagine what I would love to spend time doing, and plan and organise trips for others that show them as much of the destination as I can.
What are you passionate about?
I’ve always loved observing and interacting with different cultures around the world. I think it’s wonderful to appreciate different ways of living. I’m incredibly lucky to have been able to travel to so many different places, and I’m not done yet! My list of places to visit just gets longer and longer!
What do you love about travel?
I love visiting places that on the surface seem so different to my experiences and realising that no matter where you’re from or where you travel to, people the world over are fundamentally the same and want the same things! I think that’s amazing.
