How and why did you get involved in the travel and tourism industry?
I became involved in travel when my family built a family style motel in the early 1970’s with magnificent views and two award winning restaurants in a coastal tourist town, Narooma. I grew up working in all areas of the family business. The more I learnt, the more I wanted to do – it was the start of a career that has seen me work and live around the world working in an ever changing tourism industry.
What aspect of your work are you passionate about?
I am passionate about seeing people creating lifelong memories – whether it be from visiting a new place and trying something new or heading back to a place of comfort time and time again. These moments of happiness are things that live with you forever – the smiles and the stories from a happy holiday.
What do you love about travel?
I love the experience of travel. The opportunity to learn about different cultures, to see new places, to speak another language and to immerse yourself in a different way of life. There is always somewhere new to go – but so far not enough time!
